Project Highlight: Custom 26x12 Grand Teton Timber Frame Pavilion – Mint Hill, NC

The homeowners in Mint Hill were in the middle of a complete backyard renovation when they reached out to us—pool, hardscaping, and a new layout that called for a pavilion designed specifically for their space. They had a clear vision, a set budget, and a specific idea of what they wanted this structure to achieve.
To help bring their plans into focus, we created a custom conceptual drawing tailored exactly to their backyard layout. This allowed them to visualize how the pavilion would sit alongside the new pool and ensured every detail worked with the overall design. After reviewing project photos of other Timber Frame builds, they selected a color combination that complemented both their home and the landscape.
One feature they were especially excited about was orienting the gable end along the longer 26-foot side of the structure. Many pavilions they had considered elsewhere were designed the opposite way, but this custom layout created the dramatic, open look they had been hoping for. It immediately set the structure apart and made the space feel more expansive and inviting.
Because their county required permits, we provided engineered drawings for both the pavilion and the required footers. The homeowners coordinated the footer work locally, and we stayed closely involved—answering questions, clarifying details from the engineering plans, and helping ensure everything was prepared correctly ahead of installation.

Installation was completed in a single day by the Fisher’s team. By evening, the custom 26x12 Grand Teton Timber Frame Pavilion stood beautifully—a warm, eye-catching centerpiece built for shade, gathering, and the golden-hour glow their yard is known for.
The homeowners were thrilled with the result and are already looking forward to enjoying the space to its fullest next summer.
